NEW

Murder mystery meets the paranormal.

Anita’s vacation in New York City ends tragically when she’s killed in Central Park, but instead of the end, it’s only the beginning. Her soul remains at the death scene trying hard to process what happened. And there are other ghosts here that don’t seem to be much help. And, of course, the new reality of being a ghost does not sit well with Anita.

What is she supposed to do now?

Why can’t she go into the light? She appears connected to Detective Olivia Brown, the detective assigned to solve her murder. Is she supposed to help her or is something else going on?

Will the crime go unsolved? Does it even matter now that she’s dead? Or can Detective Olivia Brown get to the bottom of what happened that night in the park?

And can there be romance on the other side?

Author Gallant is a true story teller. His characters are well developed, and likable; the evil ones also interesting in their dark ways. Gallant has a bent for wry humor and fun as he writes a captivating tale of the proverbial battle of good versus evil. Will peace be possible without magic? Can dragons, both red and black help prevent death and destruction? Adults and YA will enjoy this book 1

The Dracula Hearts series

Dracula is a good guy in this series, more or less. He's suicidal, lived much too long. The Master has seen it all, lost too many friends and lovers over the centuries.

Now the world is being overrun by evil vampires, and the author Piers Anthony, who is also a vampire, is trying hard to get the head vampire involved.

Fangs, romance, humor, magic and adventure.

I suggest that others should read this story because it was a truly unique read. I wish it would continue on to expand the story and tell of Marcus's journey to becoming a great wizard like Adorok.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful new story of Dracula, and a vampire dystopia

By Desert Rose Review

Wow- this is truly one of the best books I've read in a very, very long time.

I absolutely love the way Dracula is depicted in this story- he's comical, and deadly serious at the same time, which is just a perfect mix. The characters he has around him simply add to the humor and depth of his ancient personality.

5.0 out of 5 starsPowerfully intriguing and masterfully written!

By Crystal Gomez on December 20, 2016Format: Kindle Edition

Powerfully intriguing! I've never read a story quite like this one! We journey through a form of the afterlife with Anita, a young beautiful woman who was ruthlessly murdered by assassins in a park at night. For some reason only known by higher powers, she is denied access to enter the light of heaven and is the wielder of special abilities that are extremely rare for a "ghost". She latched onto Detective Olivia Brown, who just happens to have psychic powers running in her family and must accept that she can now see and communicate with some spirits. Anita must team up with Olivia to track down her assassins and prevent the death of other important people who are destined to change the world.
Masterfully written with intricate details of what the limbo of the afterlife must be like, the writer takes you on a majestic journey that stretches your imagination and make you wonder if these circumstances may actually exist. With a colorful cast of characters both benevolent and nefarious, this book is a whole new spin on good vs evil that left me absolutely delighted. I was completely absorbed from the very first page and found myself quite unable to put this book down whatsoever! The storyline and dialogue both flowed smoothly at a fast pace with not one single dull moment and was powerfully intriguing. Even if you're not really a fan of ghost stories, you HAVE to give this one a chance! Definitely one of the best books I've ever read!

Marcus, Raina, Princes Alexa  and others are back for another exciting adventure.

Coming in 2017

Take the grand adventure.

4.0 out of 5 starsA pleasant surprise

Comes A Child by Joseph Gallant

I was pleasantly surprised to discover just what was contained in Comes A Child. Whenever I watch a film, I just have to read the synopsis without fail. When it comes to books, however, I don't have that sense of urgency. So, I didn't know what to expect with this book.

Comes A Child is a lovely tale, about an elderly couple suffering from arthritis and other age-related ailments. I read a little bit of humour in their interactions with each other, although I expect they weren't in that much of a festive mood.

Still it was delightful to read! Then, what follows is a change of mood in the story; the animals arrive. There's a slight confusion here as I did wonder what they could possibly mean but it finally became all clear at the end.

Remember Scrooge? That grouchy old man from A Christmas Carol? Well he's back! At the end of Charles Dickens's much loved book, he didn't stay grumpy, of course. So, this is where his story continues as a new(ish) man and it's a bonus to be able to read a story that fits in with the tale before it. Comes A Child is all about love, miracles and companionship.

Braden the Barbarian book King of the Castle fantasy books

Braeden the Barbarian: Forbidden City AND now book 2 King of the Castle

Author A.J. Gallant writes a fast-paced fantasy filled with giants, witches, spells, a neurotic dragon, and just about everything readers enjoy in this genre. His characters are realistic, at least the human ones, and readers are drawn into this story. While YA's will love this book, the excessive violence, sex and profanity make it better for adult reading, especially with the author's penchant for sardonic, dry humor.
